IBS CAMPUS  | PC: SAMIYA MEHKRI

From the gates of IBS one can see an open view of the garden spread over a few acres of land leading to the sports ground. The campus is very spacious and airy. Despite of being situated on the Mysore Highway, it has maintained a clean and green environment. The classrooms are fully equipped with the latest technologies, making teaching and learning faster and easier for teachers as well as students.

As the campus is located on the outskirts of the city away from its hustle bustle, it lends a pure and peaceful environment to study. The lush green campus comes with, a couple of beautiful sit outs, 2 volleyball, 1 football, 1 cricket and 2 badminton courts.

The key strength of IBS Bangalore is its dedicated team of faculty with a deep sense of commitment towards shaping their students to become effective and well-rounded managers. The faculty members come from a rich assortment of academic and professional backgrounds, and adopt different approaches to teaching and evaluation, thus enriching the students’ learning experience and also equipping them to face varieties of expectations and challenges in their future careers.

The teaching at IBS Bangalore emphasizes more on case based learning where the students learn to deal with real time challenges, the companies face and are made to think out of the box. This kind of learning makes sure that the student is using his/her own imagination and rationalizes to come up with solutions.

Surprise quizzes, on spot presentations, elocution, public speaking tasks, group discussions are some of the daily part of teaching.

PC : IBS STUDENT ACTIVITY CLUB

Mens sana in corpore sano’ is a Latin proverb that means ‘a healthy mind lives in a healthy body’. In order to keep up with the rigorous curriculum and demanding workload at IBS, it is necessary that students are able to look after their health and let out steam once in awhile. In order to transform students into healthy managers, with all-round development, IBS Bangalore provides a multitude of opportunities for sports and other extracurricular activities.

The signature events of IBS-Bangalore include :

BREAK THE ICE helps in making the fresh batch of students comfortable with the new surroundings and people. PARICHAY is a fun filled warm welcome to the fresh batch of students. 

INTER COLLEGE FOOTBALL MATCH | PC: IBS STUDENT ACTIVITY CLUB

MANTHAN : A traditional 10 days  intra college management fest that exposes the incoming fresh students to rules and regulations of management, giving them a small glimpse of the corporate world that helps them pull up their socks to get industry ready.

TARKASH: This is an inter college management fest organised by IBS-Bangalore that invites colleges from all over India to participate and build strong associations. The students take full charge of each and every aspect of the event and the official brand ambassadors of the college during this time.

There is much more to learn outside the classroom and lot of chances for interactions with fellow students. Every student on campus leaves not just with a degree but also with friendships and bonds that last a lifetime. The student community at IBS Bangalore is truly diverse; the students come from different states, social and cultural backgrounds, and walks of life. As they become a part of the IBS community, they get an unparalleled exposure to different cultures, languages and ways of living.

PC: IBS STUDENT ACTIVITY CLUB

Several student activities are directed towards extending the classroom learning experience. Such activities include organizing seminars on contemporary management issues, publishing in-house magazines, organizing guest lectures, and organizing and participating in inter-business school competitions.

Similarly, several academic clubs and committees provide a platform for students to make management a part of their daily lives. Industry leaders are invited to the clubs to deliver talks on contemporary issues. The clubs and committees organize quizzes and debates, and meet frequently to discuss new ideas, issues, and developments in their areas of interest.

Students participate in sports and games at the well equipped Sports Activities Centre It provides much needed relaxation, exercise as well as a chance to compete and work as a team.

STUDENT LIFE

GIRLS THROW BALL TEAM | PC: IBS HYDERABAD STUDENT ACTIVITY CLUB

After the hectic day at college , one would see students engaging themselves in outdoor sports such as football , volleyball and throw ball or the gym freaks head for a workout at the on campus gym or getting together in what is called as the ‘hostel lane’. Since IBS-Bangalore does not have an on campus hostel facility , students stay a few hundred meters outside the campus. It is still called as IBS hostel separate for boys and girls.

In the lane are small bakeries and local tea and coffee vendors that are a hub to the students. But students here make the most of the lovely weather in Bangalore coupled with hot coffee and sharing a light moment with friends. There are several scenic places to visit nearby such as Savandurga , The Big Baniyan tree , Tiruhali forest ,Wonderla etc. Whether there are on campus facilities or not students do find their way out for enjoyment.

HOSTEL

IBS-Bangalore has an off campus hostel facility which works better for the students as it’ll help them stay fit. Stuck on to the laptops most of time and sitting for lectures for about 7-8 hrs can make one out of shape. Since the hostel is about 10 minutes walk from college campus, students take the leap to go up and down whenever they like. Well furnished rooms with 24hr security, power backup, WiFi and a mix of north and south Indian food are the main facilities of hostel.

One major concern students at hostel face is that of food. Different tastes and preferences make it difficult for the students to adjust. Moreover the hostel is looked after by private owner, which makes it slightly difficult for students to to approach and solve issues.
